These compositions explore a quiet sense of solitude. I look towards the tension between isolation and connection while considering the relationship we have with our surroundings; in particular the sensibility of both nature as an emotional wilderness and containment as inhibition. I illuminate common yet alien settings as lonely, contemplative environments that are encased, melancholy, passive and reserved.
